Respect...

Respect what is it to some? A sense of ensuring self worth? Excellence of a person? Deference of rights? Either way you put it we all want respect. Do we? Its amazes me to hear how some of the younger generation talk to one another. Why do they not see how words can be so powerful? Walking to the store I overheard a young man telling a girl she's a bitch?! I wasn't expecting to hear that kind of language at 8:30 in the morning!! Yet alone the word B*&^H!! The girl casually laughed as if it was a joke. I shook my head in disbelief because all I could think was, this girl does not LOVE herself. It's really sad because she doesn't know her self worth. How could she as a young woman allow a young man to degrade her as individual? But you know what this all stems from home. Children hear and see everything and it stays with them. Maybe this young girl heard her mother, sister, aunt or cousin be disrespected in some way that made her believe it's OK for this kind of treatment. I only hope that the young woman finds respect and love within herself to not allow anyone to undermine her as individual. RESPECT and LOVE yourself cyber world!!

Everyday words....

The name of my blog I was told is unique. I chose those words because everyday we as individuals use them and don't realize how often we use them. For instance, "Who's at the door?", "What do I have to pick up at the grocery?", "Where are you located?", "When will I do laundry?", "Why do I have to go to work today?", "How am I gonna pay next months rent?". All of these questions we tend to ponder in some way or form. It's funny how life has different scenarios that requires us to use these words. I wonder who was the first person to even utter these words?!?! Yea I know weird right. But I think about things like that. Doesn't make me a weirdo, just inquisitive I would say. So until next time my cyber-mates!!! Think about it..
